Dream House

Found my dream house today! I shoot houses for real estate and I have been in some really swanky, huge homes but this particular house is the reason I bought lotto tickets today. I uploaded them backwards and meant to start with the exterior of the home but since I have been so crazy busy lately and just want to go and have a glass of wine and veg in front of the tv this will do. And see how I tied that all in---here's the wine cellar first. ;)

It wasn't merely a nice wine cellar though, there was also this tasting area set up. Amazing.

This is the lower level with a full bar, separate family room/media room, pool table room, fitness room with french doors (love), spa/bathroom with a huge spa shower and sauna.

Art In The Park Show

This is my booth set up for Art in the Park in Ypsilanti last weekend. I think everyone had a great time and I made quite a few sales and got some custom orders for word necklaces.

I thought this couple were so cute trying on aprons and taking photos!

I also made a lot of great trades! I got some of these awesome notebooks made out of recycled vintage records.

This is by far my favorite trade I have ever made! For a necklace, a ring, and $20 I got this HUGE painting from a talented recent Eastern grad! She has mad skills and I feel lucky to own one of her works. This looks amazing in my house and I couldn't be happier with it.

My brother-in-law and his wife came to visit last week and we went downtown to Detroit 3 times. The first time was for second row seats for a tigers game which got rained out as soon as we walked through the gate. So bummed. We had fun bar hopping anyway. The second time we went to the DIA and then walked around near the fist and then down to Hart Plaza and along the riverfront. It was amazing. I've lived here all my life and never did that before. It was such a gorgeous day too. The third time was to have dinner in Greek Town which was also awesome. I got some great shots which are available for sale in my etsy shop or if you don't see it, just contact me and I'll hook ya up.

There is a state park in downtown Detroit-not a lot of people know this. It's beautiful and right on the water.

Estate Sales

Hit some great estate sales last week! I love estate sales but sometimes you really have to dig. And sometimes you have to go into kind of dark and creepy basements to find the best stuff. Usually the things that I think are awesome are the things that the people running them think are junk. I'm always looking for stuff that I can take apart and make into new things. I found this awesome sterling silver spoon ring for 50 cents, after which I was in a trendy shop and saw them for $18.

A friend of mine picked this leather purse up for me for $3. I drew poppies on it.

I love these beads! They are painted metal beads and as soon as I saw them I had a design in mind for them. They were 75 cents.

Picked up a couple of these pocket knives too.

One of the sales had a box full of locks and keys and they gave it to me for $2. I am going to make a bunch of necklaces with them. The one below is so unique too.
