A swarovski sticks out the top. After uncovering the many layers of rust and dirt and grime with my dremel I tried to solder the red jeweled piece on but it just wouldn't adhere. I ended up buying new solder and flux and it finally worked. Then I took off all the horrible brass paint on the key (I bought it new) and oxidizing it. I coated the twig in resin, which had to dry for 2 days, and drilled holes in it. They are joined together and a sparkly red swarovski crystal sits on top of the twig. I pinned it together and cut up a black suede shirt I've been saving for a project just like this one and used it to line the top. I attached thick metal chain to each side. The only test will be to see if it sews well. I tried to sew a different piece but the sewing machine just ripped the plastic. So some hand sewing is in my near future.
