New Jewelry made from Vintage Erector Set

A swarovski sticks out the top. After uncovering the many layers of rust and dirt and grime with my dremel I tried to solder the red jeweled piece on but it just wouldn't adhere. I ended up buying new solder and flux and it finally worked. Then I took off all the horrible brass paint on the key (I bought it new) and oxidizing it. I coated the twig in resin, which had to dry for 2 days, and drilled holes in it. They are joined together and a sparkly red swarovski crystal sits on top of the twig. I used wire to attach <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">swarovski</span> crystals on both ends. Then I used leather strap and wrapped the ends with copper wire. The funky weird bottom piece was taken from the antique cash register I took apart over a year ago. I'd been hanging onto it waiting for inspiration. The piece above it was from the magical box of junk and it is both brass and silver. I used brass circles to join the pieces together and it hangs from one oxidized silver chain and a brass chain. I wrapped it in wire and filled up the inside of the coil with sparkly beads. You can't really tell from the photo but when light hits it it sparkles a bit.
