Almost all of my Friends, Male and Female, enjoy Junquing and seeking out Found Treasures... and that makes for great Junquing Buddies. My Mom always liked to use the old saying that 'Birds of a Feather Flock Together' and I've found that to be so true. Kindred Spirits have a way of gravitating towards each other and enjoying each other's company. Similar interests, passions, aesthetic and way of life will create common bonds. Things that some people might find to be odd, boring or disinteresting might be just your 'Thing'. And so it is particularly nice, totally refreshing and tons of fun when you can connect to others who enjoy, are interested in and 'get' those particular activities and things that you enjoy so much and you can do together, talk about and Inspire each other with in the Sharing of it.
For me those activities and special interests would be Artsy things, Junquing, Creating, Salvaging, Decorating, Repurposing, Upcycling, Gardening, Exploring, Nature Walks & Adventures, Traveling, Collecting and the Love of Old... to name just a few of my various Passions. And having that circle of Friends that are Birds of a Feather makes it just that more enjoyable... whether they be online Friends or those I interact with in person.
Seeing each other's 'Scores', Homes, Creations, Styling Techniques, Vignettes... discussing Dreams, Visions, Ideas and Business Ventures... sharing Stories of Travels and Picks, Shows and Junquing Adventures, Favorite Haunts & new ones just discovered... is something I never tire of.
And though certainly each of us are totally Unique Individuals, with our own Point of View, Style, Personality, Personal Preferences, Quirks and Differences... we are all cut from the same cloth it seems in so many ways. And the Traits and Characteristics we have in Common and want to Share is what Creates that Special Bond between us all and draws us to each other... either here in the Land of Blog... in Person... or Both.
