Since you've joined me on the Jerome Tranquility Tour for so many days now, traveling together... I feel like I can share my Heart about the reason this Trip was so Special for me...
Yes, the ambiance & visuals of this favorite place has always captivated me...
And I'd never captured it through the eyes of my lens quite so thoroughly as I did this Trip, knowing that it would be Blog Worthy to share...
I've explored every nook & cranny of the Town in several previous Trips... spanning several decades & Seasons of Life...
The first being when I was only 16 and learning to drive... yep, my Maiden Voyage in a vehicle was done on the switchback Mountainside leading up there... I guess you can say I've always lived a tad on the Wild Adventurous Side... *winks*
However, this Trip held a heavy dose of Nostalgia for a much deeper Heartfelt reason...
You see, The Man and I used to go on Great Adventures together all of the time... spontaneous Trips to anywhere or nowhere... looking for new Adventures... Found Treasures... or just to see what might be around the next bend in the road...
It was some of our most enjoyable quality time spent together over our many years of Marriage...
In between deployments during his long Military Service... where we'd be separated often and sometimes for great lengths of time while he Served our Country... often in Wartime...
And while we raised our Children... And I held down demanding Corporate Careers...
And while he still had his Health...
And while our aging Parents still had their Health...
And before inheriting Grandchildren to raise...
And even though we both sacrificed much for careers with long hours & crazy schedules we always made the time for such enchanting Trips together and looked forward to them...
But when his Health took a bad turn and so many surgeries created physical limitations to add to the challenges...
And ailing Parents, forced early Retirements and raising a 2nd Generation caused us to shift priorities towards the needs of Family and dealing with chronic infirmity & disabilities to overcome...
Well, the Trips and Adventures took a lengthy haitus...
A VERY lengthy one in fact...
And though we really missed these Special times spent together exploring and traveling, being free Gypsy Spirits always on the go... we just were not in a position to do it anymore...
Until NOW...
Well... you might be thinking... but Dawn... you STILL are dealing with The Man's Health challenges... and ailing elderly Parents... and raising the G-Kids... so what changed, what is different?!?
Well, I'll tell you...
When there is Something you really Love doing and Someone you really Love doing it with... you keep that Hope alive that one day... you will be able to do it together again... and you PLAN to accomplish that Goal... even if you aren't sure exactly how... or when...
And you persevere through those times when you can't... for whatever reasons prevents you...
And you tenaciously hold onto the desire & passion for it...
And you find a way... even if it seems most unlikely and you have to adapt & improvise some to accomplish this...
And when the time finally comes to act upon re-establishing those cherished & memorable times again... you just DO IT...
While you still CAN...
And you don't allow any barriers to get in the way this time...
Because even if you haven't overcome them all... over time you can learn to get used to almost anything... adapting... improvising... changing strategies if you must...
Whether it is Health challenges... Life changes... unforseen circumstances... unexpected commitments and the Trials of Life... or just the Natural aging process...
And each Season of Life will bring with it some obstacles and some opportunities...
I just choose to focus intently on the opportunities...
And look for a way over, under or around the obstacles, tenaciously... refusing to give up, give in or give out...
Because the old saying is true, that where there's a Will there's a Way...
And Hope springs eternal...
And when you achieve the Victory it is ever so Sweet my Friends!!!
And you'll appreciate that opportunity more than you ever realized you might or would...
I know I did... and that is why this particular Trip was so very Special... And we PLAN to have many more now... some kind of way...

Whether it is something you used to do... or have yet to do... it's POSSIBLE you know...
And if you want it badly enough you WILL find a WAY...
And when you DO I will Celebrate the Victory with you here in this Land Of Blog...
