It was a Special Day... Graduation... yes, my Grand-Daughter Princess T was having her End Of Year Party and Head Start Diploma Ceremony at the Park with her Teachers, Classmates and their Families.  There was a Picnic Breakfast and later a Picnic Luncheon... Singing... a Diploma Ceremony... Play, Water Fun and good Fellowship.

Friends... Family... Festivities... Food... Fun... does it get any better than that really?  I think not!  Some of these young people I have known since they were her age... and now they have Families of their own and its so very special to see each successive generation and have fellowship over all these years... watching everyone grow up and enjoy the milestones of Life together!  And of coarse there are the new Friends made over the coarse of the School Year... and the bittersweet knowledge that perhaps some won't be in the same School next year as they move into the Public School System and begin Kindergarten next year.  And so along with the Joys were the Tears... of saying Goodbyes and hoping that perhaps we'll see each other some kind of way and keep in touch.

It is times like these that being a Custodial Grandparent has it's rewards... because with raising these two G-Kids I don't miss any of their lives and events like we have with the G-Kids that don't live with us and reside in different States and Countries.  Those who are Grandparents and Great-Grandparents understand how much can be missed with distance... and the busyness of Life. And so, though it isn't easy raising Children at a more advanced age and with Life circumstances that have made it so... I must say that I would not get to enjoy these types of pleasures in this most intimate way if we were not their Guardians and I'm thankful for that.  Though I certainly grieve that their Parents miss so much... and The Man also has to miss so much while he is away doing Seasonal Work most of the year now... it would be ideal if we could all be there for such important priceless events...
But at least through the eyes of the lens it can be captured and shared in this Land Of Blog...
Not quite like being there... and yet, still special in a different kind of way...
Doing Life together as best we can and in whatever ways we can...
Thanks for coming along virtually to the Party!!!

Blessings from the Sunny Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
