The G-Son, Prince R, has been away this week at Church Summer Camp in Prescott... for the first time ever... he's been on trips, but always with extended Family...

He was very excited to be Sponsored and able to go on this Grand Adventure... and though we had discussed Homesickness, just in case, he was adamant saying, "Geez... it's only 5 days Gramma... and I'm 10 now... so I'm not gonna get Homesick..." *rolls his eyes in feigned disgust, LOL*

Famous last words... *winks*

By day 3 I was getting "The Call"... you know the one... that the Camp Counselors need to allow the Homesick tearful kiddies to make Home... to hear your voice, be comforted & express their longings for HOME SWEET HOME... be it ever so humble...

Yep, apparently even during this brief absence and in the midst of so much activity and fun... he was still very much missing the smells of Home...

The foods we enjoy...

The sights and familiarity of Home however quirky...

Our cherished routines & traditions...

Missing Family...

Fur Babies...

Friends...

Special times with special people we have cherished for many years...

The special activities we frequently enjoy together...

Even the zany ones like posing in front of Vintage Rides we're pretending could be ours... *LOL*

Missing the familiar fav Restaurants...

And being surrounded by Gramma's Collections...

And the Joyful details like sticking magnetic Butterflies places...

And missing his stuff... the things not allowed at Camp that have been a bit of a transition... *smiles*

And missing the things you might only enjoy in the privacy of Home and around Family... like face-painting... and other personal forms of expression where acceptance is guaranteed around those you Love and Trust...

Yes, he's even missing...

 The Beast Princess!!! *Winks*

And though of coarse it was my job to comfort him and remind him that this was a golden opportunity that in hindsight he wouldn't want to miss a day of... so hang in there for the last day and a half before they'll be Home...

It made me glad and aware... that though he could be anywhere... and having the time of his Life in fact... his preferred place of Being... is with US... at HOME... which means we must being doing something right...

And making our House a Home that they all can't wait to get back to...

Our personal fun Sanctuary... where we can be...

Exactly who we are... and do exactly what we like to do without inhibitions...

And be celebrated...

And know we're unique and Divinely Created to be just as we are...

Doing Life together in our Bohemian Valhalla...

A place apparently worth getting Homesick for...

And I wouldn't want or have it any other way...

And we'll be right here to Welcome you Home... because each of us is a big part of what makes it so very special and priceless...

I'll be joining Cindy over at MY ROMANTIC HOME for SHOW & TELL FRIDAY Blog Party... come join us...

Dawn... The Bohemian

Home is not where you live but where they understand you. ~ Christian Morgenstern

The light is what guides you home, the warmth is what keeps you there. ~ Ellie Rodriguez

Home is the one place in all this world where hearts are sure of each other. It is the place of confidence. It is the place where we tear off that mask of guarded and suspicious coldness which the world forces us to wear in self-defense, and where we pour out the unreserved communications of full and confiding hearts. It is the spot where expressions of tenderness gush out without any sensation of awkwardness and without any dread of ridicule. ~ Frederick W. Robertson
