I very seldom Plan Trips or a Day... I prefer Spontaneous Fun & Discovery to unfold Naturally... and have each Day become a Beautiful Journey to enjoy... Full of Grand Images...
And Simply Enchanting ones...
Being Delighted by the unexpected... like the delicate Bloom of a mass of Water Lilies in a tiny Desert Oasis...
Taking long, leisurely walks up and down various Trails and never quite knowing what awaits around the next bend...
Having Nature surprise me with the wealth of it's Beauty... when you take the Time to notice it...
Not so intent on reaching a particular Destination you are more apt to enjoy the actual Journey as it unfolds...
And if you really have no Destination in mind, then each Place becomes "It" and you're living in the Moment...
And taking the Time to explore and discover random Images that captivate you or catch your eye...
Now, having this Type of Spontaneous laid back approach to the Joy of the Journey can be a bit tiring or distracting to those who are Destination driven... *Winks* Our Family happens to be a blend of both "Types"... as you can plainly see... *LOL*
So we do compromise somewhat when we do the Journey together as a Unit... having a few potential Desinations sprinkled amid an unplanned Beautiful Journey with an open itinerary...
And we've stumbled upon some great Discoveries as we meander down the back roads and stop to see & explore whatever intrigues us...
Or just hang out in a Majestic Place that speaks to the Spirit & Soul in a Whisper in the midst of outward Stillness & Silence...
My Passion always has been for the Delightful Discovery of Beautiful Old Homes...
The older and more unique, the better... I wonder about the Occupants... and feel they probably have a fascinating Story to tell...
And the History of such places ensures that there are probably many Stories to tell that span the eras they have witnessed...
And sometimes we can and do go inside such places that intrigue us... it is rarely disappointing... if the exterior draws you in or speaks to you, then the interior is usually all that you expected... or holds the Delight of the unexpected...
The abandoned and the forlorn speaks to my Spirit & Soul loudly... I don't quite understand or know why, but it always has... I find unique Beauty amid the decay & neglect...
And the Explorer in Me is ignited by such places... often hidden away and virtually taken over and reclaimed again by Nature...
I am probably far more attracted to an aging structure than a grandoise one...
And during Beautiful Journeys the most unexpected Visitors can show up and make a spectacular appearance... such as this unusual Black Rattlesnake who meandered across our Path and was on its way to its own Journey & Adventure... so it paid us no attention at all as it became Blog Fodder for a Future Post! *Winks*
Some places Time has virtually stood still... and can transport you back to another Era... I Love that...
And there are ALWAYS those places where you can Dream your Dreams of one day having something like that... because it lights a spark in you & lines up with your Vision of not just a perfect Beautiful Journey or Destination... but possibly a place you would enjoy putting down some Roots and enjoying for longer than just a Moment in Time...
