I have a fondness for Altars and enjoy them from every Culture and Spirituality or Artistic leaning of the Individual Creating them. We have always had at least one or more Altars in our Home... and those of us with Magpie tendancies can make a fierce Altar! *Winks* As well as appreciating all of the elements grouped together to form an Altar Created by someone else and paying Homage to whatever the Altar was built for and represents.
So it was with great delight that Princess T and I were able to experience the Dia de los Muertos Altar Displays at The Desert Botanical Gardens this week. This first one was one of my favorites and pays Homage to a Beautiful & Talented Mexican Silver Screen Legend, Maria Felix {April 8, 1914 ~ April 8, 2002}. The fabulous Purple & Gold Robe and Bohemian Bling were breath-taking... as were the Lovely Vintage Photos of Sra. Felix.
