Yes, it's finally upon us... Halloween!!! One of my favorite times of the year!!! And here at the Bohemian Valhalla Residence as we sit amid a sumptuous Velvet Pumpkin Patch with the sparkle of Bohemian Bling in the glow of Candlelight, knoshing on Caramel Apples and Treats of every imaginable description, we Hope that your Holiday Season has kicked off just as splendidly?
Our faux Pumpkins have endured the 100+ degree heat all Month but now it was close enough to time so the Hunt was on for the Real Deal to add to the Pumpkin Patch on the Porch! {Can you tell which is real & which is faux?} We've scoured the Local Pumpkin Patches for the perfect Real Pumpkins and we'll be carving Jack-O-Lanterns. We spent the Weekend at Halloween Parties and Dia de los Muertos Celebrations & La Procesion... and tonight we will be going Trick-Or-Treating in the Neighborhood, resplendant in our Costumes... and then come back and pop some Popcorn and sit back to watch a Marathon of Halloween Cult Classic Movies and Live Ghost Hunter Adventures on TV. We'll infuse a bit of Exotic Gypsy Magic into our Evening and we'll very likely be on a Sugar Rush and be in a Sugar induced Comatose State until the middle of next week! *Winks*
And the first thing tomorrow Morning we'll scour the Valley for the After-Season Sales on Halloween Decor and Delights to make next year's Celebration even more Spooktacular! I was eyeballing how many Velvet Pumpkins were left in the Shops?! *Winks*
And in tomorrow's Post I'll take you back to the Desert Botanical Gardens for more Dia de los Muertos Celebrations including La Procesion... the Ancient Indigenous Tradition of marching as a Community to Ancestral burial sites to honor those who have gone before us. Because Sunday I participated in La Procession, which was full of expression of the Holiday's rich Cultural Legacy with vibrant color, deep symbolism, pageantry and a blend of delightful Music, Storytelling and Dance. The Music was intoxicating, the Dancers energetic, the Food was delicious, the Artists had the most amazing Creations for Sale, the Gardens were lovely & the Weather was absolutely perfect!
