Dia de los Muertos Altar #1
****************************

As we conclude our Tour of the Dia de los Muertos Exhibit at the Desert Botantical Gardens herein lies proof that you just never know what a Child will be drawn to and Enchanted by!  Of all the Altars presented this would have been the only one I was guarded about Princess T experiencing... after all, impaled naked Blue Barbies on a large rather grotesque Mannequin reminiscent of a 'Hell Raiser' Character is sketchy for Child Appeal I thought?! *Winks*  WRONG... she LOVED this one, it was her favorite and she wanted lots of pictures of it and walked around it excitedly gazing at the Art up close and picking her favorite impaled Blue Barbie {the one with the Pink Hair ~ LOL}!!!  Who knew... just goes to show ya that seen through the eyes of a Child things can be strangely Beautiful, awe inspiring and captivating!  And it helps if said Child is rather a Wednesday Addams Clone too... *Winks*  And yes, in case you were wondering, Princess T does have some headless dolls she's still very much attached to and plays with. *LOL*

Dia de los Muertos Altar #2

This Beautiful Altar pays Homage to the People of Japan and an Artist of amazing skill in Mask Carving and it was a delight to see a Collection of some of his Creations and the tools of the Art Form.

This Altar was an Ofrenda to the Death of Debt... a wonderful Global Goal.

Dia de los Muertos Altar #4
***************************

Some of the Altars remind us of the Gentle Lives lost in a terrible tragedy... in remembrance, lest we forget.  I do remember this and the senseless crime committed, taking so many sweet Lives of the  gentle Buddhist Monks, Nuns and Novice at Wat Promkunaram Temple here in the West Valley.

The Notes & Prayers on the Altars to Loved Ones were piling up amid the Sugar Skulls... paying Heartfelt Tributes & Beautiful Remembrances...

Which is why I always see Altars as a thing of Beauty...

And Love...

Expressions of Personal Love Shared Publicly in the Visuals of the Altar...

And send Upwards to Heaven...

There was also a delightful Dia de los Muertos Festival this Weekend at the Gardens, with many Talented Artists selling their amazing Creations... this HUGE Bohemian Bling Mirror was TO DIE FOR!!!   Honestly the most Beautiful Mirror I have ever seen, my Photos don't do it justice and when the Sun hit the Jewelry it was Created from... a sight to behold!!!  I Thank the Artist for the privilege of being allowed to Photograph it to Share with you here in the Land of Blog.

And you know I couldn't get by without showing you more piles of sumptuous Velvet Pumpkins! *Winks*

And some Lovely Rustic Willow Pumpkins as well...

And wonderful Fabrics... ALWAYS the Fabrics draw this Bohemian Gal in and captivate me...

And as dusk descends upon the Gardens and we leave the Exhibit & Festivities and Festival, I Hope that it has provided you with expanded Inspiration this Holiday Season and an Appreciation of Dia de los Muertos and the Lovely Altars erected as Ofrendas during it?

Blessings from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
