Believe it or not this is a Quilt! (In Photo Above)
I love Carnivals and Fairs don't you? Everything is so colorful, fun, festive and full of fantasy. Sure we go to have Family fun... and eat Indian Fry Bread *wink*... but most of all we enjoy the exhibits... the Art exhibits particularly. As a Family of creative free Spirits we derive as much Joy from strolling the Art, Photography, Cake Decorating and Craft exhibits as we do in seeing the Animal exhibits, playing Games on the Midway, riding the rides, attending the Concerts or exploring the various Booths full of goodies being hawked.
We thoroughly enjoy deciding upon and picking our individual favorites of decorated cakes, hand crafted Quilts, Photography, Paintings and various Art Forms in each exhibit... there is always so much amazing talent being displayed... often by amateurs who don't even do this as a living, but easily could given their creativity, Gifting and skill. I'm sharing just a sampling of the chosen favs of this year's State Fair Art... and sharing my Indian Fry Bread, which is an Art form of a different kind and simply a must-have at any Southwestern Event IMO... okay so I couldn't resist taking a couple of big bites before I photographed it, I'm only human. *Smiles* The Man and Grand-Daughter greet you from the Midway and yeah, we came home with a few kitschy State Fair Treasures of no real monetary value... but the sentimental value and memories, well, those are just priceless... We do not see the World as it is, we see it as we are.
The World's most creative minds will always survive bad training. Many will survive despite having no training at all.
