Upon meeting Alvita about a year ago when she came to my photography exhibit opening, my first impression was super stylish lady. In her pink tights and gorgeous heels, she looked sophisticated with an edge. My kind of people! Her intelligence and knowledge in all things art were apparent as we talked and she never stops keeping me in awe even a year later. If you want to look polished or have a special event she is the person to call!

Her background is in interior design and she certainly has an eye for design that translates to fashion perfectly. Her home is a great example of how thoughtful she is with the placement of every single object in it. She converted one of her bedrooms into a closet for her extensive collection of vintage clothing, designer clothing, accessories, shoes, and jewelry. The first time you visit it is quite overwhelming. You want to just stand there with your mouth hanging open drooling.

She is constantly thinking about fashion too and always has a multitude of outfits hanging up, fully accessorized.

Oh the accessories!!! She volunteers her time at Council Thrift in Berkley, organizing their jewelry counter and is always picking up amazing finds there.

And the shoes...sigh. So very many!

She keeps an idea board downstairs in her living room.

This is the Alvita I know--warm, caring, and generous!
You can find her super stylish Detroit blog, Freestyle In Detroit here.
And her facebook page here.
If you want a style consultation of your wardrobe or need some help for an upcoming event be sure to ask Alvita--you won't be sorry! She also rents out her wardrobe for the film industry and she specializes in print photo shoot work.
