No, it doesn't have to start with the letter 'C' for you to have a particular reason for purchasing or seeking out something special *smiles*, but you know what it is that makes a piece call out to you or be something you really want. Sometimes you might even find an item that intrigues you that you'd never thought about acquiring before you saw one... case in point... check out those adorable Vintage Asian Thermoses that Carol at Cottage Garden 2 scored and has displayed in her Shop! I've never owned one and it's not an item I've ever looked for... before now... *LOL*... but if I could score some of my own now that I've seen some, I'd be all over them! *wink* If an item becomes a Collectible then it's more likely to be sought after by Treasure Hunters... whether for their own collections or for resale or a future investment. If you are suddenly captivated by something you'll probably want to buy it or put it on your Wish List. Is something just the right Color and would go with everything else in your palette? Do you just find something cute, pretty or beautiful... so you have to have it? We could in fact go all the way through the alphabet to list all of the many reasons why you end up with something... *smiles*... but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter WHY you buy, seek or save for something special, it just matters that for reasons that are entirely personal, you end up with what you wanted, liked or loved. And you don't have to justify it to anyone... it's your life and you should live it and surround yourself with whatever connects to you at some level and makes you feel good to be around and brings out the best in you. It's only special because you value it... but you are special because you are fearfully and wonderfully made by our Lord and that is a value above any THING we might acquire and it makes each one of us absolutely PRICELESS...
