Two Posts in one day?! Well, yeah, it's a Special Day, being my Grandson's 11th Birthday and all... and you know how much I enjoy Celebrations... and Photographing Beautiful Food... well, that and EATING it! *Winks*
One of the nice things about having a large extended Family is that we take turns having the large Celebrations & the smaller more intimate ones...
This year for Prince R's Birthday we held the smaller more intimate Celebrations... which was a lot less planning, cost & pressure for Gramma & Grandpa. *Whew* With just getting Mom out of the Hospital ICU, then the Nursing Home & off to Cali it was a Blessing not to have to Plan a bigger Celebration because it had already started out as a hardship month in so many ways... and Prince R isn't the only Grandchild with a Birthday in August...
Our Beautiful Athletic Princess Ma, who lives back East, is turning 10 on the 28th... here she is... and also with Big Sis's, the Beautiful Princesses K and N... and Princess N & Princess Ma again in a candid B&W moment that I just adore... I so Love seeing them growing into such fine Young Women as the years pass and only wish they lived closer... long distance Relationships are so difficult...
And Yours Truly also has a Birthday this month too... Honey, I want one of THESE!!! *Winks & a strong Hint... alas, he thinks this one is too big to tow behind the Truck... Nonsense... go big or go Home I always say!!! LOL* More is never enough... NEVER!!! *Smiles*
But I digress... back to Part II of Prince R's small Birthday Celebration... with just his favorite Party Foods... the Fresh Fruit Tart *Lord we LOVE these!!!*... Deviled Eggs... a Personal Size Birthday Cake *we're not big Cake eaters*... and the personal sized Ice-Cream in various flavors, we went with Haagen Dazs & Dreyer's minis this year...
Gathering here at the House for the Cake & Ice-Cream Parts...
We liked the bold colors of this little cake...
And kept everything relaxed, informal, fun and spontaneous...
And Later we'll hit Chucky Cheese for the finale'...
The smaller, more intimate gatherings mean more $$$ for each participant to spend... so the G-Kids kinda like that aspect of it... *Winks* And it's not as overwhelming or exhausting...
Just an intimate gathering of immediate Family having fun together...
And his very Best Friend...
Who will also join us Later at the Pizza Parlour for more Festivities & Games... and piles of Tokens for each Child to spend, challenging each other on the Games... *Smiles*
And the Festivities for any Birthday in this Family goes on for several days in fact...
With each Extended Family Member doing their Special Part of the Celebrations...
Because we Love to Celebrate Life together... and extend Good Times for as long as we can *Winks*...
And so this was Part II of his 11th Birthday Celebration...
His Dad's side of the Family had already indulged him in Part I... with the Big Celebration...
And there very likely will be a Part III and Part IV... as the Partying continues... each person doing their part to make it Extra-Special and Memorable...
Because that's how we roll in this Familia... All for one and one for all...
And shouldn't Life be Celebrated fully after all!?! Not just on our Birthday or a Special Day...
But every Single Day we're Blessed with...
Time is the very best Gift of all...
May your Time on this side of Time & Eternity always be Celebrated...
