You absolutely know when something is done purely for Bliss when folks do it with no expectation of compensation for their time, no monetary gain or recognition. I find that Blogging is such an endeavor for most people in the Land Of Blog. Sure there are the Biz Blogs which may exclusively promote someone's livelihood, but I've even found most of them to be far more personal than the average advertisements for a business and products offered and will typically transcend the professional aspect of it. There is just something about Blogging that connects people on that personal level, regardless of why a Blog was initiated or what it's content holds. It is very difficult to Blog and not share something of yourself... and of your Life... and what is important to you or inspires you. Within the content of your Blog what is near and dear to your Heart is exposed... how you see the World through your eyes, words and lens is revealed. If you follow someone's Blog for any length of time you will see the Heart and passions of that person in what they choose to focus upon and share. It may take some time for someone to feel comfortable and safe enough to be real and transparent, shedding any pretenses, depending on how guarded they tend to be in 'real life'. But over time, if they Blog long enough, you will begin to see the real person behind the photos and stories or business ventures... and that is what I enjoy most about this Land Of Blog... getting to know the person behind the computer writing away and posting the photos that they want to share and preserve in this virtual space they have created. It is also a place where Fantasies, Dreams and Vision can be poured out, where alter egos can in fact be set free and like-minded individuals can discover each other and realize that yes, there are far more people out there who share similar ideas, passions, activities and lifestyles! That may or may not be a revelation to some, and to others it will be awesome to find kindred Spirits that enjoy some of the same quirky things that you never imagined other people also found captivating, interesting or as inspirational as you do! Yes, I imagine the vast majority of us are Blogging for Bliss... and though we won't get paid for it... may spend a great deal of time at it... and may not receive any recognition for it...
